It's Monday, July 27, and I am mentally steeling myself for this week of classes.

This is no small trick, as a short conversation with the Director of the program left me in a place of wanting to smash glass and spit fire yesterday.

Having 'Emotional Authority' as part of my Human Design, I knew I needed to cool off and reach neutrality, before responding in any way...

And thank goodness for this reminder from Joy this morning: "What one does is what counts. Not what one has the intention of doing." Pablo Picasso

When Stacie called to confirm the impact a previous clearing had - we were able to clear again. Yay! So much better...

This morning I took a little stroll through the garden contemplating how I process emotions and experiences.

Have you ever thought about your process?

Or how you support someone, as they navigate an emotional experience?

I am such an emotional being! Seems appropriate, since this earth is all about experiencing emotions: the highest Highs and the lowest Lows.

Brené Brown has a great talk about how to be present for someone in the processing of emotions: being present, accepting, not trying to fix - or even express sympathy.

Allowing feelings space to be honored and fully felt.

Wikipedia states:

In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".

Really, this whole human experience is transient and imperfect, yes?

So, it is a powerful thing to allow ourselves to fully feel and accept the full range of whatever that shows up.

Break glass and spit fire...when necessary.

Eat sweet blueberries when they are ripe.

Resolve to engage fully in online classes...with whatever that entails.

I'm determined to not just accept - rather, really love the imperfections! Wabi - sabi all the way...
