It's Friday, January 15th...TGIF! In a sense, I feel like I've come full circle over the course of this day;
I woke up gently, with a smile...doing my best to remember what must have been some pretty good dreams. With a small cup of black coffee (something different every day - gotta keep myself from falling into a rut - I mean, 'routine'), I read my new book.
This book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy came highly recommended by my colleague Allyson.
When is the last time you read a 'children's book'? What was it that was drew you to it?
I love the whimsical images Charlie uses, as well as the sweet sentiments, that feel very relevant!
In this vein, I revisited Neurocomic, by Drs. Farinella and Ros.
It's so good to remember our brains have the capacity to learn new things - the moment we recognize, acknowledge, and break through our conditioning and programming.
More and more I am less and less willing to engage in anything that doesn't resonate with my heart - and it's (heart)brain.
There were a few items of business I took care of this afternoon, which felt energetically a bit challenging.
I remembered it was all an opportunity to practice coherence. It is, after all, the last day of Gate 61: Line 6 - Appeal "Exaltation: The profound attunement to the collectivity that can lure the public to a truth. Inspiration that can bring clarity to the collective."
By the time I turned to Wendy Anderson Halperin's book, Peace, I was back in synch.
How true it is:
"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart. ~UNKNOWN."
