Turbulence

It's Sunday, May 31st and it feels like I've been holding a huge amount of energy swirling inside me while maintaining an external level of calm.

Yesterday, some predator got into the chicken run and killed 6 of my 11 chickens. It seemed like an excessive amount of predatory aggression.

Simultaneously furious and sad, I calmly went around and collected the carcasses.

Disassociation? I don't think so.

I was hearing various thoughts as they ran through my head. It was almost as if there were someone goading me into reacting.

Have you ever been aware of thoughts like that? It felt bigger than me...

It usually always is! The whole collective is being provoked right now, whether it's race riots or covid mandates. Are you aware of it? How are you handling it?

When my son arrived for a visit, we did some clearing, energy work, and headed out.

Do you have a favorite place to hike?

Lowell Lake has always been one of our favorite places.

The air was crisp, clear, and fragrant - and as we walked along we shared stories of what was showing up in our lives.

It was a lovely way to spend the morning and by the time we got back to the car, the parking lot was full. I was happy to see that so many folks were enjoying nature.

I am so grateful for the time I was able to spend with folks in various capacities today.

Overall, it allows me to balance this turbulence with humor (my stomach hurt from laughing so hard on a tech call with Joan)

and gratitude (thank you, Janet, and Bud for your assistance).

We do have options, right?

Focus on beauty. Stay in your heart.

And, yes. Until we can all get along as friends in my gardens, I'm setting out traps. I'm playing my part in bringing this aggressive turbulence to end.
