Independence Day

Happy Saturday, July 4th! How did you celebrate? Did you consider how lucky we are to be alive at this time on this beautiful planet?


Did you change plans this year, because of the virus?


Did you spend time in nature? With family? With friends?


Were you traveling? Partying? How about fireworks?


Did you consider the reason we (Americans) celebrate this day?



I re-read the part of the Declaration of Independence that Thomas Jefferson drafted, wondering if he had any idea of where it would lead...

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...."


Were you free to pursue happiness today?

What did that look like? Feel like?


I was content to catch up on mowing, weeding, and planning. Now, I am looking forward to the Lunar Eclipse & New "Blessing" Moon tomorrow...and the Sacred Circle at 3:00 pm.

Me too! I'm looking forward to the Sacred Circle at 3 also! I did think about how lucky am I to be on this beautiful planet and all it has to offer our struggling race. I contemplated why we celebrate this night with fireworks. I tried to explain it to the alpaca who were both excited and apprehensive about all the booming that was happening all around us. They didn't care for the understanding, they just wanted to run and leap in celebration too! Oddly they seemed happy to know more humans, who'd been mostly quiet, were still out there!
